Hi I am a Job Coach at a college in Coventry where we specialise in supporting students with disabilities and learning difficulties. I am always on the look-out for inspirational people to come and talk to our students and wondered if this is something you and Emily would consider doing?

    Regards, Debbie

Hello, I was born with Spina Bifida. I live in Chicago. I love what you are doing. I am working on starting my own organization for adults born with Spina Bifida do to the lack of appropriate healthcare available to us.

Hi Paul, thanks for your email. It’s great you starting a Spina Bifida group. We couldn’t have coped with out Shine Spina Bifida group here in the UK, just having people who know and understand what you are going through is priceless. I wish you the best.

Hello, I saw your story on the local news this evening (Meridian – South of England) and was so impressed! I love what you’re doing, and as a fan of comic art, really enjoy what you are creating.
My partner works with some wonderful severely disabled young people, who I think will benefit greatly from your work and the message it conveys. I will be buying some merchandise tomorrow for her to take to ‘work’, but I’m wondering if you plan on releasing any comics soon.? If so, will there be a series? I truly hope so because the DOA is so inpsirational.
    Keep up the great work

Thank you so much! the comic is so hotly anticipated that it has attracted the attention of established comic writers, both here and USA
to pitch in with finishing it! wow! I am hoping it will be a series, yes! it all depends on the sales of the first! I have plans!but if Stan lee can endorse it, (we are talking) then I don’t see how not. The colouring book is available on line as a comic pre-taster, but it sounds like your partner has the best job in the world. thank you!

Hi there, my name is Rachel Wollaston and I was born with spina biffida and hydrocephalus in 1980. Growing up I some times had a rough time as people didn’t really understand disabilities and that just because you may have a disability it does not mean that you cannot follow your dreams with some support. I think that this dad is an amazing person and I thank him for creating such a great thing. If only I had something like this to help me when I was growing up! I do think that people’s attitude’s have changed slightly but I still think there is a long way to go. Keep fighting Emily and believe in yourself. All my love Rachel Wollaston xx

Dear Emily and Dan! I can’ t wait to buy your comic about the adventures of the Abled and read it to my first grade students in my classroom! I am a teacher in a primary/secondary school (;conbined) in Finland. We have quite a few groups for children with special needs and last semester I had a great opportunity work next to colleague teaching thesw children. When I read about you from a Finnish magazine, I immediately came up with the idea of ordering your comic and using it with my little pupils and after that paying a visit/ having a party or just spending time with the amazing children with great personalities in Iina’s class.

Wishing you both all the best and good luck with everything!

    Regads Marja
